Decomposing Portraits
This is a group of portraits I started a year ago. I call them Decomposing Portraits because they are surrounded by florals and foliage that is going towards the decomposing stage of its life. I find the beauty in things in every stage of life and this stage is very personal to me. I was born in the fall and I often have dreams of me below the surface surrounded by aging foliage. It is warm and comfortable for me. The faces aren't completely painted. I like to show the underpainting so that you can see life underneath where it is fresh and exxpressive.
