EXPRESSIVE, ABSTRACT FLORAL PAINTING WORKSHOP IN CHELSEA, MICHIGAN

APRIL 26-27 2025

$150 plus $25 for supplies (I will provide all the acrylic paints, paint retarder, inks, stabillo pencils, collage ephemera, vintage fabrics, embroidery threads and needle) Students just need to bring a few brushes and some canvases.

There will be a couple of projects we will work on. I demonstrate on canvas a very abstract background as our base and then how to paint very expressive florals. The focus will be on composition, color mixing, color glazing, layering with different mediums. Another project will be working with collage using ephemera, vintage fabrics and painting loose flowers with added embroidery.

You will leave with several finished pieces.

Tea and tea cakes will be served in the afternoon but BYOL. There are also several restaurants in the area for take out.
